LAHORE – PTI chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said that his party would not participate in the long march, however PTI would launch a tsunami march to Islamabad if the ruling coalition fails to bring a bi-partisan and neutral caretaker setup. Talking to the media at his residence he said that Tehreek Minhajul Quran (TMQ) chief had not consulted the PTI for calling a long march, while the timing of the march was also not right.
Imran demanded immediate resignation from Federal and Balochistan government after failing to control the law and order situation, besides imposing governor rule in the volatile province.
Imran said that he had directed party leaders and workers in Balochistan to take part in the sit-in of the Quetta Solidarity Council, while he would also reach Quetta to express solidarity with the Hazara community. He said that members of Hazara community were being killed mercilessly in Balochistan, which could pose serious dangers to the federation.
Imran said that governor rule if imposed should remain intact till the holding of the next elections.
He said that he was called Taliban khan when he first proposed for holding dialogue with the Taliban five years back. Imran said that PPP and ANP now desired to hold dialogues with Taliban when the elections were around the corner. Imran further questioned who should be held responsible for the deaths of scores of innocent civilians during the last five years.
Indian hostility flyaed: The PTI on Saturday while condemning the Indian army aggression on the Line of Control (LoC) said that New Delhi’s military hostility was against the spirit of peace efforts.
PTI central spokesman Shafqat Mehmood, in a press statement issued paid tributes to the martyred soldiers during the aggression of India and said that Pakistan should raise this serious issue in the world by applying diplomatic means.
He said that normalisation of relations between Pakistan and India was vital for the economic and social uplift of the people on both sides. He expressed serious concern over Indian media’s concocted stories regarding beheading of their soldiers, while the Pakistani media wisely handled the matter.
