Women’s Parliamentary Caucus vows to promote Edhi's mission of protecting women, children

ISLAMABAD: Secretary WPC, MNA Shaista Pervaiz Malik has vowed to promote the mission of Abdul Sattar Eidhi in protecting the women and girl Child in Pakistan.

She said that mission of Abdul Sattar Eidhi correlates to the vision and mission of WPC that ensures women protection through legislative, representative and oversight roles of the women parliamentarians. She stated that the best tribute that could be paid to Mr. Abdul Sattar Eidhi was to support his humanitarian assistance which he provided to the people of Pakistan across the board regardless of any discrimination of sorts.

She further stated that the WPC will support the Eidhi Foundation in its mission in protecting destitute women, abandoned girl children and babies in whatever possible manner and extended WPC’s assistance in this regard.  She said that the members of the WPC shall soon visit the Eidhi Headquarter to examine the issues of women and children that may require legislative and policy interventions for redressal.

While paying tribute to the great hero of Pakistan, Shaista Pervaiz Malik said that the life of Abdul Sattar Eidhi was a role model that was in line with true spirit of Islam which renders humanitarian assistance without any discrimination as taught by the Holy Quran and learnt through the Aswa-e-Hasana, the life of Prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon Him).
