Rawalpindi - The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) caught 11 candidates using unfair means during the ongoing first annual intermediate examinations, officials said on Monday.
According to BISE, one candidate bearing roll number 719338 was caught cheating at Government Graduate Commerce College New Phaghwari, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. Other cases included students with roll numbers 704775, 704776, 704791, and 704803 at Government College Bochal Kalan in Chakwal; 720761, 720624, 720696, and 720593 at Government Girls College Fateh Jang in Attock; and 706239 and 706237 at Government Higher Secondary School (Combined) Basharat in Chakwal. The cases were referred to the board’s discipline branch for further action.
Meanwhile, BISE Chairman Muhammad Adnan Khan paid surprise visits to various examination centres, including Government Shahbaz Sharif Degree College and Government High School in Khyaban-e-Sir Syed, and Government Commerce College New Phaghwari, Satellite Town. He also visited Government College for Women B Block (Centre A, B) and reviewed the Chemistry practical examination for the First Annual Matriculation Examination 2025. He appreciated the lab facilities and vowed to continue surprise visits to ensure transparency.
Separately, BISE Controller Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan visited centres at Government Boys High School No. 2 and Government Girls High School No. 1 in Fateh Jang, Government Islamia High School No. 4 on Murree Road, and Government Graduate Gordon College in Rawalpindi. He checked the enforcement of SOPs and announced that intermediate papers and matric practicals postponed on May 7 and 9 would be rescheduled, with a new date sheet to be issued soon.
