MAILSI    -    A seven-year-old child died on the spot after being attacked by ten stray dogs on Monday. 

As per details, the minor namely M Tayyab, resident of Basti Riazabad in Mailsi, was playing outside his house when he was bitten by a pack of 10 stray dogs. The bloodthirsty dogs dragged the innocent child to the nearby field and mauled him to death. 

Police reached the site after receiving information where they found the minor dead. Parents of the deceased child be­came traumatized after seeing the dead body of their child. The funeral prayers of the child were performed in the na­tive village. 

However, panic spread among locals after the tragic accident. They expressed annoyance over the incident and demanded the authorities must constitute dog shooting teams to get rid of the stray dogs.

ONE KILLED, TWO INJURED IN ROAD ACCIDENT

A man was killed while two others sustained injuries in a road accident in the limits of Sadr police Samundri on Monday. 

According to Rescue-1122, the accident took place near Roshan Wala Bypass, Samundri Road where two motorcycles collided each other, killing M Afzal (45) on the spot and injuring Mustafa and Abid, residents of Chak 86-GB Kerala. On information, rescue teams reached the site and shifted the injured to the Allied Hospi­tal. The body was handed over to the family members.

MAN SHOT DEAD BY THREE UNKNOWN OUTLAWS

A man was shot dead by unknown outlaws at his temporary residence at Chak 140/10-R in Khanewal. According to police sources, M Ayub along with his son Mehboob was sleeping in his residence when suddenly three armed persons barged into his home and opened fire at him. He received head injuries and died on the spot. The unknown outlaws managed to escape from the site. Police collected forensic evidence and registered case against three unknown outlaws.

14 ‘CRIMINALS’ ARRESTED IN SARGODHA

The police on Monday arrested 14 alleged criminals on Monday and recovered narcotics and illegal weapons from them.

A spokesman for police said that teams of different police sta­tions conducted raids, arrested the accused, and recovered one-kilogram hashish and 15 pistols from them.

The accused were identified as Naveed, Mohsin, Adnan, Shau­kat, Toufail, Ejaz, Liaquat, Noman, Bashir, Rashid, Umer, Amaan, Bilal and Azhar. Cases were registered against them at the police stations concerned. Meanwhile, in another operation, the Cantt Police under supervision of Station House Officer (SHO) Sub-Inspector Zeeshan Iqbal, conducted a raid and arrested three alleged gamblers. The accused were identified as Wahid, Ahmed and Nasir and stake money was recovered from them.
