Islamabad - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) dissident member National Assembly (MNA) Noor Alam Khan has approached Secretariat police station by tabling a written application against a Peshawar based doctor for attacking and abusing him during an Iftar Dinner in a private hotel, informed sources on Wednesday.

Police accepted MNA’s application for arresting the accused and began investigation. According to sources, Noor Alam Khan stated in the application that he was sitting in hall of a hotel with his friends Nadeem Afzal Chan, Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, and Faisal Karim Kundi for Iftar dinner when an unidentified man hurled a glass and other crockery at him and threatened to kill him. He said he and his friends ignored him and continued with their iftar.

When they went for dinner, the man started abusing and threatening again, he said adding that the man started abusing him for betraying with ex-PM Imran Khan.

He said the PTI workers have also misbehaved in the past and requested the police to take action. Police have accepted the application and began investigation.

Earlier, the groups of government MPs and Senators were having Iftar dinner when a man abused and attacked Noor Alam Khan. Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar punched the man in the face when many others sitting around intervened and rescued the man from him.
