LAHORE (INP) - Reiterating its stance on early elections, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) said on Monday it would oppose appointment of a new prime minister in case Yousuf Raza Gilani was ousted from his job. After submitting his nomination papers for the Senate elections here on Monday, senior PML-N leader Senator Ishaq Dar told media persons that his party had not backtracked from its demand of holding early general elections.
He said his party would take steps to make the election commission impartial.
When asked about the Memogate issue, Dar insisted his party was acting responsibly on the matter and that disinformation was being spread against PML-N leadership.
