BANNU- Jamaat-e-Islami leader Sirajul Haq said that the longer duration of military offensive in North Waziristan would be harmful for the country.

According to our sources, the JI leader said the problem of the displaced persons of North Waziristan is crucial. He called the Prime Minister and the Army Chief to resolve issues of the IDPs on priority basis.

Sirajul Haq also added that the JI and Al-Khidmat Foundation had distributed Rs 60 million relief goods among the displaced persons.

To a question, Sirajul Haq said that the province had urged for transfer of Dr.Shakeel Afridi from Peshawar jail, but the center had rejected the plea.

Addressing the Israeli aggression in Gaza, the JI leader said that his party would observe a protest week to condemn the attack on Gaza. Moreover, he encouraged Muslim countries to take steps to halt Israeli bombardment in Gaza.
