RAC pays tribute to poet Nisar Nasik

Islamabad - Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) in collaboration with literary society Sabaat Foundation arranged an evening with renowned poet Nisar Nasik to pay tribute to the living legend.
Nisar Nasik was flanked by Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed and
Chairman Sabaat Foundation Khalid Saddique at the stage on Friday evening. The writer of famous national song “Dil Dil Pakistan”, Nisar Nasik was also paid tribute by Mehboob Zafar, Qaim Naqvi, Shakil Akhtar, Farkhanda Shamim, Fakhar-e-Alam, Samuel Ishfaq Khan, Shahid Masood, Shahid Chak and Khalid Saddique. They called Nisar Nasik contemporary poet of the present era. Nisar Nasik is the writer of two books “Chothi Simat Ka Musafir” and “Dil Dil Pakistan”.
He remained associated with Radio Pakistan long time and also wrote for Pakistan Television.
Pakistan Television also awarded four lifetime achievement awards for recognition of his services. Nisar Nasik also wrote songs for many films. He did his poetry in Urdu and Punjabi.
At the end of the ceremony, Nisar Nasik spoke about his life and poetry and recited his popular poetry.
