LAHORE  - PTI Punjab chapter president Ijaz Chaudhary called for eradication of terrorism and fair election to put the country on the path of progress.
He was addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club on Wednesday along with Barrister Shahid Masood, an independent candidate from PP-178 (Kasur) during 2013 general elections and had challenged the results of his constituency.
Condemning the terrorist attack on Ismailis in Karachi, Ejaz said: “Beasts are behind such a brutality.”
He demanded acceleration of National Action Plan for the eradication of terrorism and sectarianism.
He said Barrister Shahid who had joined the PTI, challenged the results of PP-178 in an election tribunal and claimed that the tribunal had declared 39,000 votes bogus.
He said the PTI would accept the decision of the judicial commission and hoped that next elections would be transparent.
Barrister Shahid claimed that the Returning Officer had announced the result of PP-178 without the count of rejected votes, which was enough evidence of foul play in this constituency.
PTI also moved a condemnation motion in the Punjab Assembly. Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed submitted the motion.
