Bomb targets PM adviser Mubarak Zeb’s home in Bajaur

A bomb exploded outside the residence of MNA and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Mubarak Zeb, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur district, late Tuesday night.

In a statement posted on his official X account on Wednesday, Zeb confirmed that the blast specifically targeted him and his family. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Calling the attack a cowardly act, Zeb asserted that such tactics would not shake his resolve. “The main gate of my house was blown up with a bomb,” he stated.

Police confirmed that an improvised explosive device (IED) had been planted at the gate and launched a search operation in the area. Zeb was not home at the time of the explosion.

National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq condemned the attack, extended his support to Zeb and his family, and called for a thorough and transparent investigation to bring those responsible to justice.
