A rally led by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Member of Provincial Assembly Ali Madad Jatak was targeted in a grenade attack on Munir Ahmed Mengal Road in Quetta, injuring two individuals, police reported.
According to authorities, unidentified assailants hurled a hand grenade at the rally and subsequently opened fire as the procession moved through the area. The explosion caused slight damage to a nearby vehicle and triggered panic among the attendees.
Emergency responders promptly arrived at the scene, providing aid and transporting the injured to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, MPA Ali Madad Jatak escaped the attack unharmed.
Police have sealed off the area and launched a full investigation in an effort to identify and apprehend those responsible.
