I want to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards reckless driving in Karachi. The city has wide roads but probably this very fact encourages reckless driving. It has become a fashion. Usually car drivers are seen moving at an uncontrollable speed. It is this rash driving that is a regular nuisance and is responsible for fatal accidents which take place on a daily basis. Not a single day goes by when we do not hear of some accident. Only yesterday a young man who was on the left side of the road was run over by a motorcycle. The motorcyclist sped away at a great speed. Nobody could even take note of the number of his motorcycle. Speed limits are not strictly enforced. Many a time, the culprits grease the palm of the wardens and get off the hook.There is dire need for wardens to take exemplery action against such drivers.
