‘Imran wants NRO in foreign funding case’

ISLAMABAD    -    Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has lambasted PTI Chairman Imran Khan, saying the latter wants an NRO in his foreign funding case. In a press statement released on Tuesday, the minister took a jibe at the former premier, saying that on the one hand, he held clandestine meetings with Americans, and on the other, he spewed venom against the US. She was of the view that Imran actually wanted an NRO in his foreign funding case. “It’s not the aim of Imran that the govt should announce elections in the country. Rather, he wants to get cases against him quashed,” she held. She lamented that Imran was blind to the miseries of flood affected people. He is blindfolded by his lust for power, she added. She observed that real problem with Imran was his egoism, arrogance, narcissism, corruption and lust for power.

“You [Imran] should decide what your problem is? Is it foreign conspiracy, Haqeeqi Azadi (real freedom), election commissioner, corruption, or NRO,” she enquired from the PTI chief. She accused the former premier of seeking NRO by hurling threats, bullying and swearing. “Imran wants NRO for Farah Gogi and Bushra Bibi,” Marriyum Aurangzeb maintained. She wondered why Imran was so angry with the chief election commissioner. She demanded of Imran to disclose who provided the guarantee about the CEC and why he provided the guarantee.
