LAHORE - Pakistan women’s football team thumped Maldives by 7-0 in their final group stage game of the SAFF Women’s Championship in Nepal and bagged their first-ever victory in eight years. Rameen Fareed scored the opening goal for Pakistan in the 39th minute while right after nine minutes; Khadija Kazmi provided a lead of 2-0 to the national side. The streak of goals continued in the second half as well when Nadia Khan played magnificently and gave a tough time to the women of Maldives by scoring four goals in the 53rd, 78th, 84th, and 89th minutes respectively and became the first ever Pakistani to score four goals in a women’s international match. Anmool Hira also participated in the team victory and scored the 7th goal in additional time.
