SRINAGAR - At least 11 people died Thursday when a bus plunged down a gorge in Occupied Kashmir. The driver lost control on a sharp bend in the southern Ramban area of the region, a police official said. The victims were 'mostly labourers', the official said. Last month, 15 people were killed and 24 others injured in a similar accident on the same highway, which zig-zags through Himalayan foothills.Bus accidents are common on the treacherous 300-kilometre highway linking Jammu with Srinagar.
