ISLAMABAD In order to encourage those police officers, who fulfilled their duties with honesty, Inspector General of Police Islamabad, on Independence Day, awarded commendation certificates (CC) to 37 cops. Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Kaleem Imam said that accountability system helped in improving the performance of any department and working of the staff could be easily judged through it. The IGP said that accountability campaign had been aggressively launched after substantial increase in the emoluments of police personnel besides they were expected to be away from corrupt practices. Renewing the commitment to root out the menace of corruption and make Islamabad Police a corruption free force, Syed Kaleem Imam said that no one within the department would be allowed to do any kind of misuse of power and only honest officers would survive. Kaleem Imam said that purpose of awarding these cops is to encourage them so that they can perform their duties with more dedication and win confidence of people in police department. A total of 24 policemen have been awarded CC-1 certificates while 13 have been awarded CC-11 certificates along with cash prizes. Those policemen whom were awarded CC-1 certificates are Inspectors Raja Rahat Javed, Mushtaq Ahmed, Rana Muhammad Akram, Sub-Inspectors Abdul Rauf, Jamshed Khan, Assistant Sub-Inspector Salamabat Ali, Head Constables Habib ur Rehman (No.1650), Muhammad Yousaf (No.5672). Constables Muhammad Rafi (No.7466), Wajid Nisar (No.5711), Muhammad Naeem (No.1611), Khurram Shahzad (2698), Muhmmad Zavain (No.6927), Waqas Ahmed (No.7755), Noor Khan (No.2772), Muhammad Khalid (No.4025), Muqarab Khan (No.5389), Imtiaz Hussain (No.5168), Ehsan (No.6901), Abid Hussain (No.7322), Muhammad Anwar (No.2224), Adil Zameen (No.3021), Javed (No.6846) and Muhammad Munir (No.1275). Similarly, CC-11 certificates were awarded to 10 policemen and three lady cops. They include Sub-Inspectors Fayyaz Ahmed, Jamshed Khan, Head Constables Asid Abbass (No.3283), Syed Haider Ali Shah (No.5636), Constables Iqbal (No.5613), Munawar (No.5290), Constable Jabber Abbas (No.657), Muhammad Irshad, Muhammad Waris, Muhammad Riaz and Lady Head Constables Nagma Fadoos, Parveen Akhtar and Irum Shehzadi.
