I-Day gala at Changa Manga

CHANGA MANAGA - On the eve of Independence Day, a festival was arranged at Changa Manga National Park which was attended by thousands of people from all over the province.

Punjab Forest Department had arranged three special trains on this eve. People, carrying national flags, were singing nations songs. They also enjoyed boating in the park lake.

Divisional Forest Officer Ch Hayat Hassan and SDFO Imran Sattar remained present on this occasion. SHO Changa Manga Adeel Shaukat along with police force performed security duty in a better way. However, some accidents occurred due to rash driving of motorcyclists. Two serious injured were referred to Jinnah Hospital. Doctors of RHC Changa Manga remained on duty.

On this occasion, DFO, SDFO along with Range Forest Officer Khalid Iqbal and other forest staff attended the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Forest House where sweets were also distributed among the participants. UC Wan Khara Chairman Sardar Muhammad Ali, Vice Chairman Rana Muhammad Ajmal and secretary Muhmmad Idrees and other people were also present.

Another function was arranged in connection with Independence Day at Government Boys High School which was attended by a large number of schoolchildren and teachers. Headmaster Latif Ajiz hoisted national flag on the school building.
