MIRPUR MATHELO - On the occasion of Independence Day, a grand flag hoisting ceremony was organized by the District Administration Ghotki at the DC Office Mirpur Mathelo, in which Deputy Commissioner Ghotki Hafiz Muhammad Zeeshan Arshad and SSP Anwar Khetran, district officers and people of different schools of thought participated. During the ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner and SSP hoisted the flag to the tune of the national anthem and prayed for the integrity and peace of the country, and police personnel also offered a salute, while trees were also planted in the premises of the DC House.

He said that we are a fortunate nation that we have our own independent homeland, therefore we should all serve our beloved homeland. The SSP said while talking that the youth should come forward in the field of education and bring glory to the country and nation. We will defeat the common enemy by uniting. During the recent war, Pakistan has given a message to the world by achieving a historic victory against India that our forces are talented and know how to defend our country and nation. On this occasion, a tug-of-war was played between the DC XI and SSP XI teams under the supervision of District Sports Officer Nisar Ahmed Chandio. After a tough competition, DC XI won the field. Major Usman of the Pak Army, ASP Captain Abdul Wahab, Information Officer Kazim Amir Bukhari Imran Arain and others attended the ceremony. Later, sweets were distributed in hospitals and district jails.
Assistant Commissioner Mirpur Mathelo Dr. Rana Haseeb hoisted the national flag in the Municipal Committee Mirpur Mathelo. Vice Chairman Khalid Mughal, Waqar Lound, Shabbir Ahmed Rind, Ghulam Sarwar Channa, and others were present on this occasion.
