Chinese ambassador meets Chaudhrys

LAHORE - Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing called on PML President Chaudhry Shujat Hussain and senior leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at their residence here on Sunday.

Relations between China and Pakistan, CPEC and mutual cooperation were discussed in the meeting. The Chinese ambassador appreciated establishment of Faisalabad and Sunder Industrial Estates during tenure of Chaudhry Parvez as Punjab chief minister.

PML leaders Tariq Bashir Cheema, Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Moonis Elahi, Salik Hussain and Rana Khalid were also present in the meeting.

The leaders termed progress and development of China a model for the entire world. They said the Chinese government’s zero tolerance for corruption was one of the reasons for China’s progress.

Parvez to meet Balochistan CM today

Pakistan Muslim League leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi will visit Quetta today (Monday) on special invitation of newly-elected Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo.

Party's central Secretary General Tariq Bashir Cheema, Information Secretary Senator Kamil Ali Agha and Hafiz Ammar Yasir will also accompany him.

MOONIS PRESIDES OVER PARTY MEETING

Pakistan Muslim League leader Moonis Elahi presided over a meeting of the party assembly members, ticket holders and district office-bearers at PML House here on Sunday.

The meeting was attended by Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, Aamir Sultan Cheema, Khadeeja Omar, Chaudhry Zulfiqar, Bao Rizwan, Ansar Baryaar, Khawaja Waqarul Hassan and other leaders.

It was decided in the meeting that the PML under leadership of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi will fully participate in Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s anti-government movement to get justice for victims of the Model Town shooting. In this regard, a plan was also finalised. On January 17, a rally will be taken out to join the protest.

Moonis directed all union council representatives and party workers to reach PML House on time on Wednesday (Jan 17).

Other leaders also addressed the meeting and said they would ensure punishment to killers of innocent people. They said PML leadership and workers were determined to get this job done.
