MANDI BAHAUDDIN - Former District Bar Association president Ch Ghulam Ali Sahi and likely PML-N candidate from NA-108 termed the public meeting of Mumtaz Tarar as a conspiracy of the PPP and the PML-Q to defeat the PML-N candidate in the constituency.
He alleged that meeting was arranged by the PPP and the PML-Q and PPP MNA was controlling and monitoring activities of the meeting through his workers. He further alleged that Mumtaz Tarar supported the PPP candidate in 2008 elections.
He said that the PPP and PML Q wished that the PML-N grant party ticket to Mumtaz Tarar to contest upcoming election and the drama of meeting was part of the conspiracy to manipulate victory in favour of their joint candidate in the upcoming elections.
He said the people and district leaders of the PML-N knew the fact that Mumtaz Tarar had isolated himself from public for the last 15 years and general opinion prevailed that he did not care for the voters after winning the elections.
He urged the PML-N district leaders to be aware of the conspiracy and bring the issue into notice of party leadership.
He also appealed to central leaders of the PML-N to order an inquiry into the affairs of meeting and initiate proper action against Mumtaz Tarar to save the party seat of NA-108.
