1st over - Sohail Khan generates some swing and concedes one run in his tidy opening over. IRE: 1-0.

2nd over - Ehsan Adil drops it short and William Porterfield pulls it over midwicket for his first boundary. IRE: 8-0.

4th over - Adil draws first blood as Paul Stirling plays across and misses the line to be out LBW. Ed Joyce opens his account with a lovely cover drive that races to the boundary. IRE: 15-1.
