LAHORE - Experts have forecast rains from coming Thursday to Saturday under the influence of a fresh westerly wave approaching the country Wednesday evening.
The prevailing system will move out of the country after giving rains on Tuesday. Mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country on Wednesday.
Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Rawalpindi division, Islamabad and Kashmir are likely to receive widespread rains from Thursday to Saturday.
Experts say the westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist for next 24 hours.
Maximum and minimum temperature in Lahore was recorded 25 degree Celsius and 10C respectively. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded 53 per cent.
Local meteorological department has forecast rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills at Scattered places in Kashmir, Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions), upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan divisions), Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA and at isolated places in Kohat, Lahore, Sargodha and Makran divisions during the next 24 hours. Dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
