LAHORE - Syed Zohaib Gillani of Lahore won the title of Punjab Mind Sports Masters 2022 in open men category here at Nishtar Park Sports Complex. The country’s biggest-ever event was organized by Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab at a large canopy outside the Gaddafi Stadium. Gillani was awarded with cash prize of Rs 200,000 while runner-up Tahir Asghar of Faisalabad got Rs 100,000 and third position holder Aqib Javaid of Lahore received Rs 75,000. Aliya Ashfaq of Lodhran was declared champion in the Scrabble U-15 competition followed by M Akhlaq of Peshawar and Rameen Tariq of Peshawar. Overall, a hefty cash prize of Rs 1.5 million were distributed among 120 top position holders of the grand event. Punjab Minister for Sports Rai Taimoor Bhatti and DG Sports Punjab Javed Chohan congratulated the winners and position holders.
