SARGODHA   -    Transport authority on Wednesday arrested five bus drivers accused of installing illegal gas cylinders in their vehicles.

According to traffic police, the raiding team arrested five people—Shehzad, Muhammad Riaz, Mumtaz Hussain, Masood and Muhammad Khan from different parts of the city.Separate cases were registered against them.

Bike lifter gang busted

Sargodha Cantonment police arrested two-members of bike lifter gang and recovered 11 motorcycles from their possession. Police said here on Wednesday that the team conducted raid and arrested two members including ring leader Safdar Hameed and another, besides recovering 11 bikes and illegal weapon from them. Further investigation was underway.

PFA discards 890-litre unhygienic milk

A Punjab Food Authority (PFA) team discarded 890-litre unhygienic milk and recovered ghee, dry powder, chemicals and a mixer machine from an artificial milk making unit, here on Wednesday. 

According to an official, the food safety team, headed by Additional Director Operations Umar Farooq Sheikh, conducted an operation in Chak No 1 Thabal. The team got registered a case against the owner with the Phularwan police station. 

The additional director operations said that action against adulterators and unhygienic food sellers would continue on a daily basis.
