Life-saving malaria medicines not available in entire Larkana district: Ameer Bhutto

LARKANA - Senior Vice President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Pakistan (PTI), Sardar Ameer Baksh Bhutto, said on Wednesday that life-saving malaria medicines were not available in entire Larkana district. This he said in a statement issued from his native village Mirpur Bhutto. Bhutto said that thousands of villages and cities had been destroyed and millions of poor people, along with their women and innocent children, had been forced to take shelter on the dykes and roads in this scorching heat under the open sky and there was no one to take care of them.
The PTI leader from Larkana said that the government officials only took photos and travelled in the sky by airplanes and helicopters, but on the ground, hundreds of innocent children of the poor were losing their lives every day. He said there was no accountability of the relief goods coming to the country from abroad.
He said that in such a situation, the Pakistan Army, welfare institutions and NGOs were working with their best, but there was no such thing from the government side.
He said that the malaria disease caused by stagnant rainwater had become a serious epidemic in Ratedero for several days as thousands of people were suffering from this disease.
The life-saving medicines for malaria are not available in the entire district of Larkana but the Sindh government is mum and busy issuing concocted and false statements, he adds.  Mr Bhutto said that the government had committed historical disloyalty and betrayal to the people, but now it would be seen whether the people would hold those rulers accountable in the next elections, or continue to dance in front of their vehicles like the previous elections?, Bhutto concluded.
