Three injured during resistance in robbery incident

MUZAFFARGARH   -    Unidentified armed outlaws injured three citizens during resistance in a robbery bid and took away cash, other valuables from a bakery, situated at Mouza Ghalwan of tehsil Alipur on Wednesday.

According to the police, three unidentified armed robbers entered Karachi Bakery and held hostage the staff of the shop. The criminals looted cash, mobile phones and other valuables from the bakery and also tortured the staff members Nazar Hussain (56), Sadiq Hussain (52) and Ejaz Hussain for putting resistance in the robbery bid. The criminals managed to escape safely from the scene.

However, the Rescue 1122 officials reached the spot and shifted the injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Alipur while the police concerned have also started the investigations into the incident.

Police arrest four with illegal weapons

Police claimed to have arrested four accused for keeping illegal weapons during crackdown here on Wednesday.  According to police spokesperson, a gun of 12-bore and pistol of 30-bore with ammunition were recovered from accused identified as Asharf and Akram respectively from limits of Beet Mir Hazar police station. 

Similarly, two pistols of 30-bore each from accused named Bilal and Asif were recovered during raid conducted on direction of DPO police in limits of Thana City Muzaffargarh. Separate cases were registered against all of the accused persons. Further probe was underway.

Man looted on gunpoint

A robber accompanied by woman looted local citizen in broad day light before escaping the scene, said a police spokesperson on Monday. 

The victim named as Yaseen was standing at busiest road situated in front of graveyard. In the meantime, an unidentified motorcyclist with a woman sitting at the rear seat came up suddenly to snatch cash worth Rs50,000 from him on gunpoint. 

Police station Civil Lines registered a case on victim’s report and started investigation.

Further probe was underway.
