LAHORE- A fake amil (spiritual healer) was arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl by police today.

According to details, the fake amil named Ghulam Rasool, resident of Tandlianwala, had allegedly raped the girl when she came with her family for treatment of her illness two days ago. He went into hiding after committing the heinous crime. However, he was arrested from Sumandri area today.

The police said that literature which was normally used by fake amils to lure people was recovered from the suspect's custody. Nasrullah, an investigation officer, said that the amil was being interrogated in the light of girl's statement. "We have decided to conduct his DNA test to ascertain the truth," he said.
