ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan in his Friday’s visit to Sukkur, will announce mega development package of Rs 446 billion for progress and uplift of Sindh. The Prime Minister in his visit of Sukkur will also review arrangements for payment site-camp established for the Ehsaas Kafaalat operations that have just began this week. At the site, PM will join the Kafaalat beneficiary women to witness details of biometrically enabled payments. He will also interact with the women present at the camp site to gain firsthand insight on the Ehsaas programmes and initiatives in Sindh particularly Ehsaas Kafaalat. Federal Minister for information and Broadcasting Fawad Hussein Chaudhry in his tweet said, “Prime Minister Imran Khan on his visit of Sukkur will announce Rs 446 billion mega development package for Sindh. This huge amount will be in addition to Rs 1100 billion of Karachi package.” He added that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is taking all possible steps to eradicate the deprivations of the people of Sindh and coming years will herald the era of progress and development in Sindh. Ehsaas Kafaalat is the government’s flagship safety net programme that provides monthly cash stipends of Rs 2,000 and saving bank accounts to the poorest households across the country, he said.
