Police arrest 3 schoolboy kidnappers




SHEIKHUPURA - The district police claimed to have arrested three accused involved in the kidnapping of a seven-year-old schoolchild of a newspaper hawker for ransom.
As per detail, the abductors identified as Abdul Ghaffar Khan, a resident of Sukkur, his wife Samina Bibi and Allah Bakhsh, a resident of Mirpur Mathelo, Sindh province abducted 7-year-old Zeeshan from Mohallah Rehmanpura on November 16, 2012 when he was on the way to school.
They took the boy to Sindh province. They demanded Rs4 million ransom for the release of the boy by a phone call his father Muhammad Ijaz, newspaper hawker.
Meanwhile, he engaged the abductors in negotiations about 14 days and on the other hand approached the police high-ups for the release of his child.
DPO Rana Abdul Jabbar constituted a police team comprised of City DSP and CIA Inspector Ijaz.  On the police directions, the boy's father started talks to the culprits and got them agreed on Rs0.3 million ransom.
He along with the police personnel in civvies reached district Mirpur Mathelo in Sindh on November 30 for the delivery of ransom. In the meantime, the Sheikhupura Police by using modern technology kept an eye on the culprits movement.
The abductors after receiving ransom amount released Zeeshan the next day in Pindi Bhattian locality. On the other hand, the police after safe custody of the boy carried out operation in Sindh against the abductors and arrested him.
Later the abductors confessed to the crime. DPO Rana Abdul Jabbar told the media that the culprits had involved in more than eight kidnapping for ransom and dacoity incidents. The police recovered ransom amount and sophisticated weapons from the accused, the Rana Abdul Jabbar said. He also announced commendation certificate for the raiding team.
