RPO suspends two SIs on false investigations

RAWALPINDI - Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Nasir Khan Durrani Friday suspended two Sub-Inspectors (SIs) on the charges of faulty investigations for ulterior motives. According to details, Muhammad Arif complainant of case FIR NO.389/08 U/S 324/34 PPC registered with PS Kallar Syedan appeared before Nasir Khan Durrani and complained that two accused Zahid and Shams had been nominated in the FIR but local police carried out investigation against only one accused Zahid who too was declared innocent for ulterior motive. Upon this Regional Police Officer directed Public Complaint Authority to conduct enquiry into the matter. During enquiry the allegations of the petitioner were found correct. The Enquiry Officer concluded that Investigation Officer (IO) prepared cancellation report but the request was turned down by the court. He recommended departmental action being faulty investigation for ulterior motive. Upon which Regional Police Officer suspended Sub-Inspector Muhammad Zariat and issued show cause notice for the award of punishment. In the second case, Syed Asad Ali Kazmi of Airport Housing Society appeared before the RPO and complained that he had falsely been implicated in case FIR NO. 251 dated 30-032009 u/s 406 PPC with PS Airport by Talib with the connivance of local police of PS Airport. Therefore, Nasir Khan Durrani detailed DSP Civil Lines to enquire into the mater. After due enquiry the Enquiry Officer found the version of the petitioner correct and recommended departmental action against SI Tariq Bin Aziz Investigating Officer. Upon which RPO suspended Sub-Inspector Tariq Bin Aziz PS Airport and issued show cause notice for the award of punishment.
