Luck did not favour Pakistan: Rashid

LAHORE Former Pakistani skipper and wicketkeeper, Rashid Latif has paid tribute to Pakistani players for fighting against Australia in the semi-final of the ICC World Twenty20 Championship 2010 and said that the hard luck came in between Pakistan and victory. Rashid Latif said on television that the national side played very well in the crucial game and played their heart out but unfortunately Mike Hussey was in the form of his life. Akmal brothers batted really well while skipper Shahid Afridi did perfectly well as captain and adopted good game plans but it was a day when nothing was going your way, Latif stated. Rashid Latif also praised Mr Cricket saying that Michael Hussey is the champion batsman in all forms of the game and he played the best innings of his life. Aussies deserved this victory, he added. Talking about the final game, Rashid Latif was of the view that England would be hot favourite to win the ICC World Twenty20 title this time.
