NANKANA SAHIB - The BISP has been striving hard to change the socio-economic condition of the poor across the country. The objective of the programme is to bring prosperity and betterment in the lives of the poor and deserving people and enable them become empowered financially.

 Speakers made the remarks at the cheque distribution ceremony held here at District Hall on Tuesday. About 16 cheques each amounting to Rs0.3 million were distributed among the poor, and deserving women under the BISP Waseela-e-Haq programme.

BISP Punjab Headquarters Director Haji Muhammad Dogar, PPP MPA Rai Muhammad Aslam Kharal, MPA Rai Shah Jahan Bhatti, MPA Syed Ibrar Hussain Shah, PPP District General Secretary Ch Muhammad Arshad Anjum and BISP Nankana Assistant Director Tayyaba Yasmin were also present on the occasion.

On the occasion, the speakers said that BISP Waseela-e-Haq Programme would bring prosperity for 40 million people of 6 million poor households across the country.
