The Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah of PPP has made an outlandish statement that if KBD is built he would send 50 million people to march on Lahore. He is oblivious of the fact that Punjab has 100 million people twice those that he can theoretically muster. It appears the “bachha jamoora of PPP” has jumped over his head by making such foolhardy statements that do not reflect realism on his part. Actually PPP could only survive in the next election if the Co-Chairman takes a Herculean step to announce the building of KBD post haste given the background of its dismal failure to conduct corruption free governance and massive unemployment engendered by unprecedented loadshedding in the country.

However the bullish statements made by a pigmy leader of PPP would hurt the image of PPP that used to be defined by the slogan “Benazir Soubon ki Zangeer.” The Co-Chairman of PPP ought to rise to the occasion to retrieve the lost image of PPP on the national level.
