Nato supplies not discussed in tripartite meetings: ISPR

The Inter-Services Public Relations on Wednesday made it clear that the resumption of Nato supplies through Pakistani routes was not discussed during the tripartite meetings. Director General ISPR, Major General Athar Abbas said that the reopening of Nato supplies was not on the agenda of meetings held under tripartite mechanism on Saturday (May 12) and Sunday (May 13). He stated that the subject never came under discussion during the said meetings. Athar Abbas said that the focus of the meetings remained on border control measures and mechanism put in place to avoid untoward incidents on both sides of the Pak-Afghan border. “Speculations in this regard, to say the least, are far fetched,” he added.
