KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain on Tuesday appealed to President Asif Zardari and Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad to speed up efforts for securing the release of the MV Albedo crew from the captivity of Somali pirates. He said that family members of the crew were highly distressed and in a state of deep mental agony for the welfare of their loved ones. He also extended sympathies to the families and expressed solidarity with them.Altaf, however, commended the efforts being made by the president, governor and human rights activist Ansar Burney for the release of the captives. He also asked philanthropists to contact Citizens-Police Liaison Committee chief Ahmed Chinoy for making financial contributions.
