LAHORE - Commissioner Lahore Division Jawad Rafique Malik has ordered to complete the verification of applications received under the Chief Minister’s Yellow Cab Scheme by May 21, 2012.

He was presiding over a meeting regarding CM’s Yellow Cab Scheme at Commissioner Office, here on Tuesday. The meeting was informed that the work of verification of the applications is underway while 1768 applications from Lahore, 817 Kasur, 690 Sheikhupura and 357 applications from Nankana Sahib have been verified so far. While 1382 eligible candidates from Lahore, 398 Kasur, 397 Sheikhupura and 221 candidates from Nankana Sahib.

The Commissioner while showing his dissatisfaction on incomplete figures directed to submit a complete report of verified applications immediately by keeping in view district quota. He said that strict action will be taken against the officials using delaying tactics.

The Commissioner also directed the departments concerned to verify the documents of such candidates having no photographs on their matriculation certificate and their inclusion should be made in the final list. He also directed the officers to complete the pending work of verification of applications of district Lahore and Sheikhupura on priority basis.

The meeting was also attended by Addl. Commissioner (Coordination) Muhammad Asif, AOC Tariq Zaman, focal persons of DCOs Sheikhupura, Kasur and Nankana Sahib, Controller BISE Lahore, CTO Lahore, DS Transport, head of Retail Finance Department BOP Lahore and the officers of other departments concerned.
