LAHORE - Fourteen armed robbers stormed a house in Kahna and took away cash, gold ornaments, mobile phones, and other valuables worth millions of rupees when a family function was underway. A police officer said dozens of people were busy attending a family function (Aqeeka) at the house when 14 robbers forced their entry, held up all the attendees at gunpoint and collected the valuables and cash. The bandits also reported to have thrashed women and children as they tried to make hue and cry.
The police reached the spot after they were reported about the robbery. The dacoits continued looting for almost one hour but the police failed to respond to the house robbery.
Later, Kahna Police registered a robbery case against 14 unidentified gunmen on the complaint Qamar Zaman, a resident of (F/640) Central Park Housing Society.
Police said they have launched the investigation but no arrest so far. The complainant told the police that the bandits forced their entry into his house, all of a sudden, and they thrashed women and children. They held up all the people at gunpoint and fled after collecting cash, gold ornaments, and other valuables.
