HAFIZABAD - Four members of a family were killed when a trailer rammed into the here on Thursday.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, the driver was changing the van’s tyre when the trailer crashed into it from behind.
Those who were killed belonged to Sharaqpur Sharif near Sheikhupura, they informed. The accident took place after driver of the trailer dozed off, they disclosed. Police said the bodies had been shifted to hospital.
THREE BROTHERS KILLED OVER MINOR ISSUE
Three brothers were allegedly shot dead over a petty issue at Mandi Usmanwala area here on Thursday. According to police, accused Javed, with his accomplices, opened firing on Jamil, Saleem and Mehmood over the construction of a ramp in the street in Garaywala area. As a result, the three brothers died on the spot while the accused fled.
DSP City Yaqoob Awan and officials immediately reached the spot after receiving the information. The Crime Scene Unit and Forensic teams had been formed to collect evidences. The culprits would be arrested as soon as possible, said the police.
MAN KILLED, BROTHER INJURED BY FIRING
A man was killed while his brother sustained serious injuries after they were shot at by unidentified persons near Damar Walla intersection located at Sher Sultan, Multan.
According to the rescuer, the victims were moving for court hearing in tehsil Jatoi. They were shot by opponents on way to the court. Rescue staff shifted the body along with injured person to RHC in presence of police.
Sher Sultan Police claimed to have arrested the accused involved in attack. The victim was identified as Safdar Abbas, 35, while the injured’s name is Javed, 28-year-old. Both of them were resident of Alooday Wali, district Muzaffargarh.
Meanwhile, two persons were killed while one suffered injuries in separate incidents in Faisalabad on Thursday. Rescue-1122 said that a speeding motorcycle collided with a truck near Sadhar Ada, Jhang Road. Consequently, a woman who was later identified as Musarat Bibi, wife of Sabir killed on the spot while Zulifqar of Jhang sustained injuries.
The body was handed over to Thikriwala police station. Meanwhile, an addict was found dead near Zara Peer Darbar, D-Type Samundari Road. The body was moved to D-type police.
MOTORCYCLIST CRUSHED TO DEATH
A speeding bus crushed a motorcyclist to death while injuring his fellow at Chichawatni Road, Burewala on Wednesday.
According to police, a bus ran over the persons after they fell down during overtaking the motorbike. The victim was identified as Zubair Jatt, resident of street 15, Hayatabad while the injured’s name Ali Butt hailing from Chak 41/12-L of Chichawatni.
Both of the injured and deceased persons were shifted to Sahiwal hospital where the man with serious injuries is under treatment. Police have registered the case and further investigation was underway
