PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has formally launched a Monsoon-2012 Tree Plantation campaign by planting a sapling in the lawn of Chief Minister House on Thursday.
He stressed upon all government, non-government organisations and general people to play their role in development and promotion of forests and serenity of the province. He said this was how they could complete work on projects of increasing forests in a well manner.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Environment Minister, Wajid Ali Khan, Special Assistance Syed Masoom Shah Bacha, Secretary Environment Syed Bukhar Shah, Chief Conservator Gul Muhammad Khan, Conservator southern Circle Afsarullah Khan and District Forest Officer Muhammad Tariq were also present on the occasion.
The Environment Minister apprised the CM of the campaign and said that a total of 6.640 million plants will be planted across the province under the campaign and activities and progress. The CM said that besides protection to Agriculture trees also fulfill our other industrial and social needs. He hoped that department would accomplish its goals in collaboration with the general people. Meanwhile, CM met the MPAs during his weekly meetings at his office. He issued directives upon applications comprising people problems. Those met Hoti included MNAs, Senior Provincial Minister, Deputy Speaker Provincial Assembly, Provincial Ministers and others.
