Largest promotion board completed for promotion to the rank of Inspector.
Lahore - In the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the largest promotion board in the history of Punjab Police for promotion from Sub-Inspector to Inspector was held at the Central Police Office. In a two-day meeting chaired by Additional IG Punjab, Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, more than 900 cases were reviewed for promotion. DIG Headquarters Muhammad Abid Khan, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Establishment-II Liaqat Ali Malik, AIG Discipline and AIG Legal along with relevant officers were present in the meeting. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that 406 Sub-Inspectors, fulfilling merit and the prescribed rules & regulations, have been promoted to the rank of Inspector and promotion notification has been issued. Among those promoted, 115 officers are from Lahore Region, 62 from Rawalpindi, 51 from Gujranwala, 49 from Dera Ghazi Khan, 32 from Multan, 31 from Bahawalpur, 30 from Faisalabad, 20 from Sahiwal, 9 from Sargodha and 7 from Sheikhupura. IG Punjab said that a new meeting for promotion on an additional 100 seats of Inspector rank will be held next month in September. IG Punjab congratulated the officers promoted to the rank of Inspector and their families. He said that during the last two and a half years, 2,268 Sub-Inspectors have been promoted to the rank of Inspector. He emphasized that the promoted officers must ensure fearless protection of Pakistan and selfless service to our respected citizens.
