Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday said he had personally witnessed many key events of the Pakistan-India war, praising the decisive role of the armed forces and intelligence agencies.

Addressing a seminar in the provincial capital, he said intelligence agencies played a vital role during the conflict, while some still hesitate to acknowledge their contribution. He added that videos of six destroyed Indian aircraft are in Pakistan’s possession, but the announcement was delayed until solid evidence was available.

“I am an eyewitness to many events of the Pakistan-India war. Our armed forces gave a strong response to Indian aggression,” he remarked, adding that India’s entire plan was already known in advance. According to him, India fired seven missiles at a Pakistani airbase, but none hit their target. He noted that Pakistan avoided striking civilian populations during the war.

Naqvi said there were no losses at the Nur Khan Airbase, while at another base some soldiers embraced martyrdom. Overall, he said, Pakistan achieved its objectives due to the brilliant strategy of the Field Marshal, whose leadership he described as “outstanding.” He further accused India of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan, stressing that security forces are conducting robust operations in response.

Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan said Pakistan enjoyed full support from friendly countries during the conflict. He added that the Pakistan Air Force humbled Indian arrogance by downing its warplanes.

He noted that the civil and military leadership together made wise and timely decisions, and under the Field Marshal’s strategy, Pakistan secured a decisive victory against Indian aggression.
