President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday felicitated PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif on his acquittal in the plane conspiracy case. In a statement the President said that the verdict further opened the door to Mian Nawaz Sharif for electoral politics, was a step in the direction of ensuring level playing field to all political leaders and parties and will strengthen the democratic process. It upholds the principle that political battles must be fought politically and in Parliaments and not in courts, he said.
