ISLAMABAD - The Citizens Group on Electoral Process (CGEP), a non-partisan group of eminent Pakistanis facilitated by PILDAT to monitor the electoral process, is to undertake a ‘fact finding mission’ to Multan today to observe the electioneering process of by-elections for National Assembly constituency, NA-151. The seat had fallen ell vacant after the Supreme Court disqualified former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani in contempt of court case. The mission will include Dr. Ijaz Shafi Gilani, Chairman Gallup, Pakistan; Lt. Gen. (Retd) Moinuddin Haider, former governor Sindh; Ghazi Salahuddin, senior journalist, Justice (Retd) Nasira Iqbal, former Judge Lahore High Court, Ahmed Bilal Mehboob, PILDAT Executive Director and Aasiya Riaz, PILDAT Joint Director. 

The CGEP Fact Finding Mission will interact with the candidates contesting the upcoming bye-election belonging to different political parties. The Mission will also hold meetings with DCO, the District Returning Officer, ECP representative and local news media at Multan. The Citizens Group will be preparing and issuing a report based on the findings of the fact-finding mission.
