Kausar urges masses for cooperation to fight polio



PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar said Monday that polio eradication was a big challenge but they could reach their goal if all the people cooperate with them in anti-polio drives.
This he said during the inauguration ceremony of under-construction Block B of Fata Secretariat Peshawar. He said that the officials, political leaders, religious leaders and every section of people should cooperate with them to eradicate polio from their country so as to give them a healthy nation.
He said polio was a dangerous disease, but prevention from polio was not difficult if people joined hands with the government.
He said that in spite of sever law and order situations in some areas, our polio teams do not hesitate to go there and fulfill their duties.
He said a day is not far away when there will be no case of polio case in our country.
Meanwhile Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Masood Kausar said situations in FATA have improved a lot because of the sacrifices and co-operation of the tribal people and efforts of the government.
 This he said in a meeting with a delegation of lawyers led by Muhammad Israr Khan Advocate Fata Lawyers Forum Takht Bhai at Governor’s House Peshawar.
The governor listened to the problems of lawyers and assured them of full cooperation. He gave them Rs 200,000 to arrange necessary books for library in the courts. He said that they all should join hands to eliminate terrorist elements from the country to bring peace and to make Pakistan a model state.
