BAJAUR AGENCY - Two persons were killed while several link roads and other infrastructure got badly affected due to torrential rains and flooding in different areas of Barang tehsil of Bajaur Agency.  The locals said the heavy rains that unexpectedly started in the midnight of Sunday badly affected the areas. “The unprecedented rains continued till Sunday morning and affected most parts of the region and at least two people were killed due to flooding,” Bakhat Rawan, a local, said the other day. “The flood washed two men who belonged to Koot area of Malakand Agency while they were fishing.
in the river of Sali pati,” an official of the Bajaur Levies Force in the area told this scribe. The official said that the rescue works has launched but their bodies did not recovered yet.
The local said that the heavy rains and the flood have damaged several link roads including the Barang Daragi main road and a building of the government girl’s primary school in the areas.
“The rains and flood has washed away thousands of acres of Agriculture lands and crops while the electricity and telephonic systems also suspended in the region,” the local told.
