ISLAMABAD  – The USAID would replace 187 tube-well water pumps in Islamabad owned by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) with more efficient models. The replacement of tube-well will save electricity and also improve the water supply system in the city. The inaugural ceremony in this regard would be held at Fatima Jinnah Park today, attended by USAID Pakistan Mission Director, Jock Conley and CDA Chairman, Farkhand Iqbal.Farkhand said in last month that the authority currently supplies around 68 million gallons of water per day that would be augmented once the CDA’s dilapidated water supply network is repaired.
