ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf has welcomed the statement of Australian High Commissioner Peter Hayward in which he had urged his country to tour Pakistan and play a series.

Zaka said this would give a very positive signal to the international community and pave the way of international cricket return to Pakistan.

“It is my desire to bring back international cricket to country as early as possible as we are ready to provide best possible security to the visiting teams,” he added.  “It is very good to write what is positive and beneficial for Pakistan and its sports. The news published in the English daily TheNation is a big step towards healthy and positive journalism and I praise the effort of the staffer who interviewed the Australian High Commissioner. I am also thankful to the TheNation management for helping us to bring International cricket back to Pakistan,” he concluded.
