They were also briefed about hygienic poultry feed and vaccination. At the end of the training programme, every tribal woman was provided poultry package including hens along with feed and other accessories.
The programme was aimed at enhancing the capacity of tribal women in poultry farming further leading them to adopt commercial poultry farming as well to earn a decent income.
The women were of the view that the training had benefited them, as before it they had no idea about hygienic housing, food and water for their poultry. Now with this training, they would be able to prepare hygienic and proper feed for their poultry at home by utilising kitchen waste, grains of maize, wheat and eggshells.
