I wish to draw the attention of the concerned authorities. Karachi is the cosmopolitan city – the city of lights – an abode for every ethnicity and religion; the city which generates more tax than any other city in the whole country. It is the city that provides means of earnings and livings to hundreds of thousands individuals and their families – the city which embraces everyone without any discrimination – Yet, it’s an orphan: disowned and neglected by its own people. In spite of generating the highest tax amount, the city lacks basic amenities. The tax-payers are deprived of their rightful facilities. The masses have to deal with the pathetic condition of the daily conveniences on regular basis making them frustrated and annoying each other. Who will listen to the cries of this orphan city? Who will be the Messiah?
