Rawalpindi-A head constable of Rawalpindi police died accidently when the bullet went off accidently from a gun he was cleaning in his house. Separately, a man was killed in an armed clash between two groups over a land dispute in different localities of the district, informed sources here on Friday.

The head constable was identified as Asif. The body of the cop was moved to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) for postmortem. The head constable was attached for security duty at Police Lines, they said. The incident took place in the limits of Police Station Mandra.

In the second incident, a person namely Dr Tariq was killed in a clash between two groups apparently over land dispute in Tarhala Bagyal area of Union Council Sagri, according to sources. Rawat police, headed by the station house officer, and forensic experts visited the crime scene and collected evidence as part of their investigation. The body was moved to hospital for post-mortem, sources said. Police registered a case and began an investigation.
